This PSA was created in Fall 2013 by students at Audubon Technology and Communication Center Middle School in a Milwaukee Film Education Program On-site Workshop.
In this six-week workshop, students learned about the PSA video genre, chose an issue that mattered to them, and identified a message they wanted to communicate to their peers. They were involved with the entire video production process--from conceptualizing, to shooting, to lighting, to editing. Ultimately two edits were created. The students then chose one to be the "final cut" that you see here.
This program was supported in part by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support was provided by the Herzfeld Foundation and the Milwaukee Public Schools Partnership for the Arts and Humanities program.
